Ancient Chinese Kwan-yin Exhibited in Mexico

The exhibits on display reflect the time period beginning with the introduction of Buddhism to China to the development of Chinese Buddhism and the development of Tibetan Buddhism. The hope is for Mexican spectators to further understand Chinese history and culture and strengthen the friendship
between the two countries. At present, all of the exhibits are still at Monterrey.

“In recent years, communication between China and Mexico has deepened. The exhibition witnesses their people’s friendship,” said Yin Hengmin, the Chinese ambassador to Mexico.

The first press conference was held on Aug. 17. The conference announced the purpose and content of the exhibition to the public. It also showcased the exhibition’s form design, a creation of Monterrey’s famous stylist Chegue. In this design, he adopted the Chinese favonian cloud as the key
arrangement, embodying Chinese style.
